A Quiet Night!

Overnight, as the N.W.S. predicted, we had no precipitation, with the exception of a bit of fog. That fog was quite evident when I looked east and could see the golden orb of the sun through it without squinting. The combination of the fog and the temperature produced a very heavy due on everything that was not under cover. Once again we did have a pleasant night for sleeping. Our friend from Louisiana arrived safely, and we are looking forward to an enjoyable time for his visit.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts rain all day, not showers, but rain. Right now everything is so green and lush. Their prediction of the cloud cover does not seem to support that forecast (22%/34%/46%/57%), although the cloud cover appears to be increasing as the day wears on. There is some precipitation activity showing up on the NEXRAD radar at the New York/Vermont border, and that seems to be headed in our direction. On the Weather Underground model forecast maps they seem to be calling for some inclement weather to be approaching around 15:00 hours this afternoon.
My Weather Stick is frowning again, now that it has caught up with the 92% relative humidity that we had at 05:30 this morning. That relative humidity has already fallen to 79% at 07:10. My electronic instruments are once again in total disagreement. My Weather Station is calling for fair conditions with rising barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts falling barometric pressure with foul weather. The remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with steady barometric pressure. In this situation I can take my pick of forecasts, or make up my own. Based on what I find with the NEXRAD radar, model forecast maps and my own instrumentation, I suspect that we will have a pleasant morning with clouds gradually moving in. The sky will probably become overcast, and there is a chance of some rain this afternoon. I know I am going out on a limb, but this is a situation I have seen before, atmospherically, and what I suggest is what happened.

The N.W.S. fell short only at 23:00 hours, which for them is not very bad for their predictions of the temperature. They did about as well with the relative humidity as they usually do. They got one point right, and that was at the 20:00 hours point. For some reason, and without me being here my weather station up-loader and weather station went off line at about 12:30 yesterday afternoon. I am beginning to think I have a gremlin in my computer, or maybe it is possessed.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 60°F/74°F/79°F/78°F
Relative Humidity: 80%/48%/39%/41%
