Unfortunately I lost the morning to a meeting in Waterville, Maine. It would have been a great day to work outside. We did get to go to a very pleasant picnic at Mt. Blue State Park. The weather was delightful. We had no precipitation despite N.O.A.A.'s prediction that there would be light scattered showers where we were. We did not have any here in Wilton, Maine either. So, N.O.A.A. missed the mark on that part of the forecast as well.
N.O.A.A. forecasts light scattered showers for the entire overnight, and so far we have not had any. The forecast cloud cover would support that (69%/63%/59%/57%). On the NEXRAD radar there is a frontal boundary with showers associated with it that may get to us before the night is over, or it may miss us to the west. That will need to be a wait and see part of the forecast. The Weather Underground model forecast maps do not indicate rain overnight, but may show some rain later in the day.
My Weather Stick seems to be smiling with the relative humidity at 73%. That is not very high, but it is not low either. My electronic instruments indicate some disagreement. The Weather Station forecasts fair weather with rising barometric pressure. My Min/Max Thermometer forecasts partly cloud conditions with rising barometric pressure. Finally the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with steady barometric pressure. My suggestion would be that we can expect unsettled weather with a chance for some showers before the night is over.

The N.W.S. missed the forecast of all the temperature readings and all but the 14:00 hour relative humidity reading. We certainly did not get fair value for our tax dollars spent in the National Weather Service today.
