Well, Didn't It Rain?
Over about the last twelve hours we have picked up about 0.28 inches of rain, much of it coming this afternoon. We did have some light rain this morning, and it did pick up to a steadier and heavier rain this afternoon. N.O.A.A. did get the predominant weather and cloud cover correct for the daylight hours today. The temperature only reached the low seventies as a result of the inclement weather and cloud cover.
For the overnight, the N.W.S. forecasts a continuation of the rain, with the cloud cover near or above 90% (89%/95%/91%/90%). It seems that the humidity will also remain high, and as a result of the blanket of clouds the temperature will not change very much during the overnight hours. The NEXRAD radar shows some precipitation yet to go through our area of Wilton, Maine. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also show inclement weather for the overnight.
My Weather Stick is frowning still, and with 92% relative humidity I am frowning too. The barometric pressure has fallen although the electronic instruments do not agree on the meaning of that decrease. The Weather Station thinks the skies will be fair, and the barometric pressure will rise. The Min/Max Thermometer sees foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts clouds (as usual) with falling barometric pressure. Based on what I see (and feel) with the rain falling, I think we will see a continuation of the inclement weather, maybe even into tomorrow.

N.O.A.A. did miss the temperatures during the middle of the day, and I suspect that was because of the inclement weather we have had. That inclement weather apparently had an effect on the relative humidity as well resulting in the N.W..S. being unable to correctly forecast it at all during the day. It was certainly much more humid today than they forecast.
