It did not rain all day, but we certainly had our share of showers throughout the day, accruing an additional 0.15 inches of precipitation. There were enough dry periods that the last of the large pieces of wood were cut and all but eight were split. There was very little wind throughout the day. N.O.A.A. did have the predominant weather forecast correct, because we did have rain during each of the forecast periods. There was overcast as well, and that kept the temperature from rising much above seventy degrees. If people took this week off for their vacation they certainly did not get one for fun in the sun.
For the overnight the N.W.S. is once again forecasting rain throughout. The cloud cover is forecast to increase through 02:00 hours and then decrease slightly (95%/97%/100%/92%). I am still not sure how they determine the slight changes in the cloud cover. The NEXRAD radar continues to show substantial areas of rain west of us, and it is moving toward Wilton, Maine. The same indication shows up on the Weather Underground model forecast maps, and it appears to be the situation through about 15:00 hours tomorrow afternoon.
My Weather Stick is continuing to frown in response to some very high relative humidity. This much relative humidity does not make anyone very happy. All three of my electronic instruments forecast falling barometric pressure and rain. From what I can see outside my window, and when I went outside to gather the data on the weather stick, cloud cover and precipitation this weather is here for a while. My garden is again beginning to look like a weed patch as a result of all this rain. Right now it is so wet that I cannot get on it to remove the weeds and send then packing. Hopefully that situation will change soon.

The N.W.S. did correctly forecast the temperature for all but the 17:00 hour point. The only point they were right on
(within limits) was at 08:00 hours. So, they were incorrect on half of the predicted forecast points. You can draw
your own conclusions on the value we have gotten for our tax dollars from them today.
