This Is A Hat Trick!

Overnight we have had more rain, and right now it is raining with some fog. We have accumulated an additional 0.18 inches of rain, and that brings our total to 1.65 inches for the month of July. The prediction from N.O.A.A. was for rain through the night, and while it may not have been heavy we certainly did get it. Just as last night the temperature did not change very much, and did not fall below sixty degrees overnight, and that was predicted.
For today the sky is forecast to remain overcast or mostly cloudy (97%/74%/52%/56%), and that fits with the N.W.S. prediction of rain throughout the day. According to the graphical forecast map we are sitting at the edge of areas of light rain and rain for the entire day here in Wilton, Maine. The NEXRAD radar still shows significant rain west of us, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps show that rain moving through the area, and it may end around 15:00 hours this afternoon.
My Weather Stick seems to be taking a permanent set with a deep frown in response to 94% relative humidity. Once again all three of my electronic instruments agree that the weather will be rainy and the barometric pressure will continue to fall. Based on my visual data I must agree with those forecasts. I think it will continue to rain, at least intermittently, and the cloud cover will remain in place for the time being. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

For the first time in a while the N.W.S. forecast both the temperature and relative humidity within the 5 degree and
5% limits that I expect them to achieve. Well done people.
