A Little Ground Fog This Morning

Wilton, Maine was greeted with some light ground fog this morning as the sun came up. It was not heavy and should not have provided much of an impediment for travel. It is now almost 07:30 hours and the fog is gone. There was no precipitation forecast for the overnight, and we did not have anything, with the exception of the fog. The sun is currently out and the temperature us rising rapidly.
The N.W.S. forecasts fog early this morning, followed by the chance for light scattered showers for the rest of the day. The NEXRAD radar shows some rain around New York City, but it does not seem to be moving in our direction There is some stormy weather showing up in the same area on the Weather Underground model forecast maps, but it does not appear to be affecting us at all according to them.
My Weather Stick currently is frowning in response to the 92% relative humidity. It is no wonder that we have had some fog this morning. The atmosphere is thick with moisture. All three of the electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure, but I am not sure how much higher it can get. Two of them forecast fair skies, while the remote weather station still predicts partly cloudy conditions. The high barometric pressure usually indicates fair weather. On the basis of the instrumentation, weather maps and radar I am inclined to predict a very nice day. If that happens I will not be disappointed. It should be a great start to the week.

The N.W.S. was correct with their temperature predictions for the overnight. They did miss the two ends of the overnight period for the relative humidity. This was a better job than they did yesterday, but it still is not up to the standards.
