Sun This Morning, Clouds This Afternoon

We started out with a great day in store, but by noon the clouds had started to move in. As the afternoon wore on the sky became more and more threatening. We did not have any rain, so N.O.A.A. did not have that part of the forecast correct for our area of Wilton, Maine. I was able to get outside and reload my outdoor wood boiler. This is the first time wood had been added in nine days. I am impressed. I use it to heat the water at this time of year, so I would expect to use much less wood. Now that I have figured out how to load it, I have to wonder how often it will need to be done this winter when I heat the house and the hot water. It should be less than it was last winter.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts light scattered showers, with a cloud cover to match (90%/90%/90%/92%). The Weather Underground does not show any showers for our area overnight, and there does not appear to be anything on the NEXRAD composite radar for our area. The storm that I noted this morning moving over New York City continued inland and appeared to be dissipating.
My Weather Stick points straight out, so I guess it is expressionless at this point in response to the 81% relative humidity. I would have expected it to point a bit more down at that level, but I just read them, I do not create what I see. My electronic instruments do not seem to agree this evening. My Weather Station is calling for a mix of cloudy and fair skies with falling barometric pressure. My Min/Max Thermometer forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure, and the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with falling barometric pressure. I think the clouds will persist and we have a chance for a shower. Those showers will occur for areas of Wilton, Maine depending on the location, but that is the way it always is. I expect it to be warmer than it has been as well during the overnight.

The N.W.S. missed the mark for the first half of the overnight, but did quite well for the second half with the
