Yes, we were in the right place overnight in Wilton, Maine to have 0.02 inches of rain at around 05:15 hours. N.O.A.A. had called for light scattered showers overnight, so I guess we can call them correct on this one. We are having a little light ground fog at the present time, and it is quite humid, almost to the point of being uncomfortable. I have some appointments this morning, but I hope to get started on the second load of wood this afternoon. This will make it two down and ten to go.
N.O.A.A. predicts rain to start out our day, and that decreasing to light scattered showers through the late afternoon. There appear to be a few small echoes on the NEXRAD radar, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate some possible showers this afternoon. I have also checked the local radar from Gray, Maine, and there is no rain appearing on it at all.
My Weather Stick is frowning again, and this morning with 91% relative humidity I am frowning too. My electronic instruments have not reached a consensus regarding the forecast for today. My Weather Station calls for a mix of clouds and fair skies with falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts foul weather with falling barometric pressure, and the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with falling barometric pressure. With all the instruments calling for falling barometric pressure, and none of they calling for fair skies, my feeling is that we can expect unsettled weather for today. We may have a shower at some point, but those will be localized, since there is nothing showing up on the radar right now. As I look out the window at the road I see cars driving by with lights on, so the visibility is not that great out there right now.
