Summertime, Summertime, Sum-, Sum-, Summertime!

Today might be a good opportunity to re-read William Shakespeare's play "A Midsummernight's Dream", since tomorrow is Midsummer or Lammas. It will not be long before we begin to see signs of the changing of the season, and I am not rushing it. We did rise to fog this morning in Wilton, Maine. There was no rain overnight though. The temperature did drop into the upper fifties, which made it a bit more comfortable for sleeping. I needed that.
For today the N.W.S. is predicting another summer day with no rain this morning, and the chance for light scattered showers this afternoon. According to the local and NEXRAD radar there is some ground clutter, but nothing close to us for precipitation. There may be a shower embedded in that ground clutter, but I cannot be sure. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are still predicting some showers for this afternoon, but we will need to wait until this evening to see if they appear where we are.
My Weather Stick is frowning deeply, and with the 93% relative humidity so am I. My electronic instruments are again stuck in a rut. The Weather Station and Min/Max Thermometer forecast mixed conditions with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with steady barometric pressure. From what I see outside, the fog has dissipated, the sun is shining, and there is no wind. I think we can expect another warm day with a chance of instability thundershowers this afternoon. That is my forecast, and I am sticking to it.
