Another Hot Sticky Summer Day.
With the temperature approaching the mid-nineties here in Wilton, Maine and the relative humidity nearly 50% it was not a very comfortable day. We had no precipitation, and along about now we could use some. I did not get a lot done today, other than running errands. Oh, the next load of wood has arrived. This is the weekend of the Multiple Sclerosis benefit ride that I will be participating in, and I hope to see the weather a bit cooler and a bit drier for the ride. That usually makes it a lot more pleasant.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation and cloud cover that is quite low, but increasing (13%/19%/25%/27%). The NEXRAD radar shows no echoes near us, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps do not indicate any storms near us.
My Weather Stick points slightly up responding to the 83% relative humidity. My Weather Station forecasts rain and falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer forecasts rising barometric pressure with mixed conditions. Finally, that old standby, the remote weather station forecasts clouds with steady barometric pressure. If this looks familiar it is within on word of this morning's report. I still think we are looking at unsettled conditions, but this time I do not think we will see precipitation overnight.
