Ground Fog Is The Predominant Feature This Morning.
I have already been outside to the barn to check on the new arrivals and both dam and kids seem to be doing fine. Photos will be forthcoming. Overnight we did get into some fog, but there does not seem to be any overcast or cloudy conditions right now. The temperature did reach the high forties, and even with the high humidity it was a comfortable night for sleeping. It was so comfortable, in fact, that I slept right through my alarm, waking up when it was about to end its hour of music.
For today the N.W.S. predicts that we will start with no precipitation, but gradually light scattered showers will overspread the region of Wilton, Maine. The cloud cover is expected to increase (46%/52%/58%/68%) supporting the idea of the light scattered showers this afternoon. There is some precipitation showing up on the NEXRAD regional radar, and it does seem to be moving in our direction. It will take a while to get here since it is in Western New York. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that showers should break out around 18:00 hours this evening and last until sometime early tomorrow morning. That should make for an interesting report tonight and tomorrow morning.
My Weather Stick is frowning again, and at 91% relative humidity I am too :(. All three of the electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. My Weather Station forecasts fair skies while the other two instruments see partly cloudy skies for today. The fog outside my window is already burning off leaving us with clear skies for the moment. I suspect that will change as the day wears on, based on what I see on the regional radar and model forecast maps.

The N.W.S had the temperature correct for all four forecast points overnight. They only missed the 02:00 hour point with the relative humidity. This was a much better showing than they had for yesterday. I have to wonder if their errors were a result of some rapidly changing conditions, and rapidly moving fronts that were not expected.
Forecast data for today.
