I seriously considered going for a bicycle ride this morning, but when I looked at the 38 pieces of wood left to split from the last load and the un-numbered pieces of wood to cut and split from the new load I decided against it. I had some errands to run this morning, and right after lunch I went to work splitting the last of those pieces. That went well until 16:15 when it started to rain, but the load is done. I do not think N.O.A.A. had the predominant weather correct since we had a shower before 17:00 hours.
The graphical forecast from the N.W.S. at Gray, Maine left a question about the middle part of the overnight. The text forecast indicates that we will have scattered showers overnight. The NEXRAD radar and Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that showers may well be in the offing for us here in Wilton, Maine. The cloud cover forecast supports that idea (58%/78%/84%/89%).
My Weather Stick is frowning still and so am I at the 85% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments forecast rain/foul weather with falling barometric pressure. The fact that we have had a couple showers already this afternoon and evening as well as the forecasts from all the instrumentation I must agree. Showers are the order of the night, and after the front passes through a beautiful morning.

The N.W.S had the temperature correct for all four forecast points for today. The only point they forecast correctly was at 16:00 hours this afternoon. Once again they missed three of the eight parameters. They are back to their poor showing.
