Showers This Morning/Dry And Cool This Afternoon

The rain ended, according to my weather station around 06;30 this morning. It was reported that we had a bit more rain later this morning, but there was not enough to measure. I went to a meeting, so I cannot verify that observation. We have now received over two inches of rain for the month of August. Once the rain stopped the sky cleared and the relative humidity dropped to comfortable levels. That is my perception at least. I was able to get outside and split some fifty pieces of the new load of wood. I hope to get that done quickly this time.
For the overnight, the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation with a cloud cover to match (39%/49%/46%/27%). There are no showers showing up on either the NEXRAD composite regional radar or the local (Portland/Gray, Maine) radar. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show the clouds dissipating and moving out before midnight. They also show a delightful day for tomorrow.
My Weather Stick points straight out, and now we have relative humidity of 69%, and I can believe that. All three of the electronic instruments forecast fair skies and rising barometric pressure for Wilton, Maine. I think I can go along with that, and be thankful for it too.

The N.W.S missed the temperature forecast for 11:00 hours this morning. The only relative humidity point they had correct was at 17:00 hours this afternoon. They still do not do well with the relative humidity forecasts. I guess their models are not well tuned to the reality of the relative humidity.
Forecast data for the overnight.
