N.O.A.A. had the predominant weather correct overnight, right down to the increase in the cloud cover. We had no rain or fog this morning. There was not even any dew on the grass. With any luck at all I will get the lawn mowed today, and possibly get started on the garden. It is in horrible need of help, with some of the weeds as tall as I am. I keep saying, "I am an army of one." I do what I can do, and the rest will be there when I can get to it. The sun rose into a cloudy sky this morning, and there was a bit of red as it came up. That may portend some rain in our near future.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts 85% cloud cover all day, with no precipitation before noon, and light scattered showers this afternoon. There are some showers showing up at the western border of New York state, but they should not affect us today. According to the Weather Underground model forecast maps we should not see any precipitation until around midnight tonight, and then we appear to be in for about 24 hours of foul weather.
My Weather Stick is frowning, but only slightly in response to the 81% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments currently forecast partly cloudy skies or fluctuating conditions if you prefer. As usual, the longer it takes for a weather system to arrive, the longer it will take for it to depart. Based on the radar images and model forecast maps, as well as the conditions outside my window, I think we will escape the rain during the day, but tonight will be a very different story.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for three of the four periods. They missed the 05:00 hour data point. They did the same with the relative humidity. I guess the air mass moved a little faster than they expected.
