A Foggy, Foggy Dew.

When I first stepped outside at 05:30 the air was as clear as a bell. By the time I started writing this report we had gone through almost 2 hours of fog, and it is burning off. So we are once again back to clear air. N.O.A.A. predicted no precipitation and dissipating sky cover, and they were right overnight. We had no rain, but the grass is very wet, and so is everything that was not under cover. At 92% it is still quite humid, but that should go down as the day progresses.
For this morning the N.W.S. forecasts fog to start and no precipitation for the rest of the day. The radar sites also show no storms in our immediate future, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps call for fair skies today. I think we can all accept that after this weekend. Just a note, tomorrow morning, just before it sets, there will be a total eclipse of the moon. We, here in Maine, will have about 2 minutes to observe this phenomenon.
My Weather Stick is frowning again, and with 92% relative humidity I cannot really blame it. That level of humidity makes me frown too. My electronic instruments are now in agreement. They all call for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. Who am I to argue? I too will call for fair skies with pleasant temperatures, low cloud cover (13%/12%/10%/10%) and lower relative humidity. This should be an 11 on a scale of 10. (P.S. Joke)

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all of the four periods. Knowing the limitation of my weather station I must agree with the N.W.S. and say that they got the relative humidity correct as well. This is one of the few times in recent days that I have seen them get both parameters correct.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 60°F/73°F/78°F/76°F
Relative Humidity: 73%/45%/36%/40%
