Under A Clear, Blue Summer Sky!

For today the N.W.S. forecast no precipitation and very little cloud cover. They were right on both accounts. The sky, all day was the clearest and the bluest I have seen in a very long time. It was such a great day that I was able to trim Daisy and Minerva's hooves. I also cleaned the calves stall and James' Stall. The claves were funny when I put the shavings down. They literally rolled in them to spread them around the stall.

They are eating between 25 and 30 pounds of grain per day plus hay and a gallon of goat milk apiece. It is no wonder they are growing rapidly.
For the overnight, the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation with zero cloud cover until 05:00 hours when it is supposed to increase to 10%. There is still a shower on the Canadian side of Lake Erie, and the only change is that it appears to be less intense. There is nothing else on the NEXRAD radar, or the Portland/Gray radar either. The forecast is for a calm night.
My Weather Stick is smiling a little bit, and with 71% relative humidity I am too. My Weather Station sees falling barometric pressure with a mix of clear and cloudy skies. The Min/Max Thermometer sees fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts a mix of clear and cloudy skies with falling barometric pressure. I think the Min/Max Thermometer has it right along with the N.W.S., and we will have a nice night with comfortable temperatures and almost no cloud cover. This should give us the opportunity for some real radiational cooling.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for three of the four periods. They missed the 11:00 hour point, but only by one degree. They missed three of the four points for the relative humidity, getting only the 17:00 hour point correct. Once again this was not a good showing for their capability to prognosticate temperature and relative humidity.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 70°F/65°F/59°F/53°F
Relative Humidity: 57%/65%/78%/100%
