No Showers Scattered Or Otherwise Here!

Overnight, as noted above, we had no precipitation here with the exception of some light ground fog. I was a little late rising this morning, but the sun was not (good thing) and it came up as a ball of fire. If the harbinger is to be believed we should take warning due to the red sky. That sky was essentially clear (I did see one very small cloud in the northeast sky), so I am not sure where the estimate of cloud cover (71%/71%/70%/75%) for today came from. It was a good night to catch forty winks though. The air remains hazy at this point (07:15 hours).
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts light scattered showers for our area of Wilton, Maine, and the cloud cover noted above would support that, if indeed it is accurate. I looked at the NEXRAD radar site, and there are some showers showing up. They seem to be moving in a northeasterly direction, and while they seem to be affecting northern Maine, they do not appear to be moving with a direct enough easterly vector to affect us here. If your are wondering why I mention Wilton in my reports, I understand that my reports are read in some far flung places, and that way they can locate what area the report is referring to.
My Weather Stick is frowning again at the 88% relative humidity. Two of the electronic instruments forecast foul weather for today. All three of them forecast falling barometric pressure. The remote weather station only sees cloudy skies in its forecast for today. Based on what is going on outside my house, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps I am going to suggest that we will have a decent day until around mid-afternoon. We may then see some scattered showers around the area lasting until around midnight. Talk about sticking my neck out, but the turtle never gets ahead unless it sticks its neck out. Enjoy this one. It does appear that we may have another high pressure system following this frontal line.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all four periods overnight. They could only manage to correctly forecast the 20:00 hour relative humidity overnight. The rest were off by 7-9%. The relative humidity still eludes the forecasters at the National Weather Service.
