Cloudy, Cool, And Light Rain!

We had almost no sun today due to the clouds that just would not break up. We had a couple of very light showers that did not produce enough precipitation to register on either the analog or electronic rain gauge. I was able to finish loading my outdoor wood boiler, so it should be good for about a week or a little more. Those weeks will soon be coming to an end with the advent of cooler weather. N.O.A.A. did miss the predominant weather, particularly for the afternoon. We did have some very light showers around 15:30 this afternoon. Since then the skies ;have become partly cloudy to mostly fair, with some cirrus clouds. Also the temperatures have fallen into the mid-fifties.
For the overnight, N.O.A.A. forecasts light rain for the first half followed by fog for the second. We already have fog, so I am not sure where their forecast is coming from. The cloud cover that I can see above the fog does not support their rain forecast (61%/55%/49%/44%). There is some very light rain showing up on the NEXRAD radar, but none in our area, and it appears to be dying out. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also indicate that any showers have moved off the coast.
My Weather Stick still frowns at 90% relative humidity. My Weather Station is calling for the barometric pressure to fall, and the weather to be a mix of fair and cloudy skies. The other two instruments are calling for the same mix, but with rising barometric pressure. My guess is that we will see the clouds continue to dissipate, the temperature and relative humidity fall somewhat, but fog to be a part of the landscape until tomorrow morning sometime.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for the first two periods today, and they missed the 14:00 and 17:00 hour data points. They did the same with the relative humidity. It appears that there were some movements in the atmosphere that the N.W.S. did not account for. No Kudos for this one.
