The Clouds Have Left Us For Now!

There was no fog this morning, despite the forecast from N.O.A.A. There was some patchy dense fog last night around 22:00 hours, this too not forecast by N.O.A.A. I am not displeased by the actual weather we had, but N.O.A.A. got that one wrong. The temperature dipped into the upper forties, and even with the high humidity it was quite comfortable. I needed to stay up until midnight to change my Heavy Weather file for the new month, so I was able to observe the fog.
For today, the N.W.S. calls for no precipitation and decreasing cloud cover (41%/38%/30%/19%). The NEXRAD radar shows no storms for the region, and the Portland/Gray radar shows us clear in Wilton, Maine. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show Maine to be under the influence of a high pressure system from Canada, giving us cooler and drier weather, supposedly for the entire holiday weekend.
My Weather Stick is still frowning at the 91% relative humidity, and who can blame it? My Weather Station calls for rising barometric pressure and fair skies. The other two electronic instruments call for partly cloudy skies with rising barometric pressure. Outside my windows I am now seeing (09:00 hours) some altocumulus clouds on both the eastern and western horizons. I think these will continue to move south, and the sky will continue to clear.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all four forecast periods overnight. They only had the 20:00 hour point correct for the relative humidity. The relative humidity was high, just not as high as they forecast it to be. No Kudos for this one.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 54°F/67°F/72°F/70°F
Relative Humidity: 90%/54%/42%/41%
