A Great Start To September.

N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation and dissipating cloud cover for today, and they were correct. Once again I lost some time running errands, but I could not do some things unless I did them, like filter the milk from my goats. I did get to start organizing the last load of wood that came on Thursday, and I split some of it. There is some that needs to be cut to size before it is split, but that will not take long.
For tonight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation with a cloud cover that would allow none (0%/0%/0%/2%), so we should be able to see al the way to Andromeda with the unaided eye. There is nothing on the NEXRAD regional radar, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps show no activity for Maine at all overnight. The Portland/Gray radar shows Wilton in the clear as well.
My Weather Stick is smiling just a little with the 76% relative humidity. My electronic instruments finally agree showing fair skies with rising barometric pressure. With the pressure as high as it is I would expect there to be no precipitation, light to calm winds and temperatures falling into the low to mid forties as a result of the radiational cooling.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all four forecast periods today. They only had the 08:00and 17:00 hour points correct for the relative humidity. The relative humidity came down, just not as quickly as they forecast it to. Moderate Kudos for this one.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 58°F/50°F/46°F/43°F
Relative Humidity: 62%/77%/86%/96%
