The Clouds showed Up, But The Showers Did Not!

That is correct. We had some cumulus clouds during the day today, but the showers did not show up in this area to dampen our outdoor activities. According to N.O.A.A. we were not supposed to have any precipitation, and we did not. The cloud cover was higher than it has been, but the clouds have now dissipated, and the sky is star studded (21:53 hours). It was such a great day that I was able to get most of my latest wood cut, and much of it split. I will continue to work on that tomorrow. I will also be getting hay tomorrow afternoon. Thank goodness it has been dry so the farmer that puts up the hay that I get has been able to get his part done.
For the overnight, the N.W.S calls for no precipitation for our area, and the cloud cover is supposed to come down a bit (43%/35%/19%/24%). As I noted above the sky is already clear. The NEXRAD regional radar is not showing any echoes anywhere near us. The Weather Underground model forecast map shows that the system that passed north of us today bringing us the clouds is now gone into the Canadian Maritimes, and we are supposed to be free of any precipitation, and it looks like the clouds are gone too.
My Weather Stick is expressionless again in response to the 80% relative humidity. Two of the electronic instruments are calling for rain with falling barometric pressure. I believe the part about the barometric pressure, but I do not believe the foul weather. The remote weather station calls for cloudy conditions with falling barometric pressure. I think they are all wrong. I think we will have a pleasant, but coo night with few, if any, clouds and no precipitation. There I go out on a limb again.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all four forecast periods today (I will give them the 11:00 hour point since it will statistically round to 70). I will not be as generous with the relative humidity. They missed them all by a wide margin. This was not one of their better attempts at prognostication again.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 66°F/59°F/55°F/52°F
Relative Humidity: 67%/82%/81%/73%
