Starting Out Sparkling Clear

Instead of rising into clouds as it did yesterday, the atmosphere is indeed sparkling clear. The sky is still red, but that did not portend anything yesterday, and with the lack of clouds this morning I do not think it portends anything today. N.O.A.A. had the predominant weather right for last night, but their estimate of the cloud cover was, in my estimation, high. We did have quite a bit of radiational cooling, and that did drop the temperature at my location into the low forties.

The Sunrise Without The Clouds Is Not Nearly As Interesting! For today, the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation, and even lower cloud cover than yesterday (6%/0%//0%/3%). According to that we should have another stellar day. There are some echoes showing up on the Canadian side of the Great Lakes, but I do not believe they will affect us at all. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are also showing a clear day for today. I love it.
My Weather Stick is frowning, but I suspect that will not last long, once the dew is off the grass. My electronic instruments do not quite agree in all respects. My weather Station forecasts fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The other two forecast fluctuating sky conditions with rising barometric pressure. I suspect that they will change before long, as the barometric pressure continues to rise. I am going to plan on getting my last load of hay, and continuing the splitting of the last load of firewood for my outdoor wood boiler. I expect this to be a pretty day for sure.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for three of the four forecast periods overnight. They missed the 20:00 hour point by much more than 5 degrees. I have no idea why they should have missed that one. Their forecast for the relative humidity was on and off and on and off. I checked to see if perhaps some wind might have had an effect, but there was no wind overnight. I guess they just got it wrong.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 45°F/62°F/69°F/67°F
Relative Humidity: 76%/39%/28%/32%
