Temperatures In The Upper Thirties This Morning!

Wow! This certainly makes it feel like Autumn is right around the corner. Yet, it is over two weeks away. The fog, this morning, when I stepped out to check on my Weather Stick and the cloud cover, was almost thick enough that you could cut it with a knife. It almost looked, in my headlamp, like it was drizzling, but it was not. The fog in this area probably prevented us from having the temperature fall to frosty levels. Other areas may not have fared so well.
For today the N.W.S. calls for no precipitation and moderate cloud cover (76%/66%/55%/43%). They are forecasting some light scattered showers just a little north of us, but those are not supposed to affect us today. There are some showers showing up on the NEXRAD regional radar in the area of Montreal, Canada, but they are too far off to predict for our area. The Weather Underground model forecast map does show a probability for some precipitation for our area later this afternoon and into this evening. We will have to wait and see on that.
My Weather stick is frowning again in response to the 88% relative humidity. That is probably helping to make it feel cooler that it really is. My Weather Station forecasts fair skies with a rising barometer. The other two instruments forecast fluctuating or mixed skies with rising barometric pressure. Currently I see some altostratus clouds, but they may be associated with the fog we experienced earlier. Once all the fog burns off, I think we will have another pretty day with lots of sun. I am not convinced that we will see any precipitation before this evening, but I have been known to be wrong before.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all of the four forecast periods overnight. They missed the first and last points for the relative humidity. I do not know why, and they probably do not either. They missed them, and that is all there is to it. They will just have to try again for today.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 45°F/62°F/69°F/68°F
Relative Humidity: 89%/56%/51%/59%
