How Many Ways Can We Say A Beautiful Day?

The day started out with clouds and fog. I had some misgivings about the coming day, but I stuck my neck out and called for another good one. I spent considerable time setting up the equipment and doing the preparation to bottle some homebrew. I ran some errands. I did my usual morning and afternoon milk chores, did the bottling and cleaned the calves' pen. When I put their bedding down it is a real sketch to watch them push it around. They act like children rolling in piles of raked up leaves. N.O.A.A. and I got this one essentially correct for the predominant weather.
For the overnight, the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation for the first half of the night and fog for our area around Wilton, Maine for the second half. There are no storms anywhere near us on the NEXRAD radar. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that the storms they thought might impact us actually went north of Maine. The cloud cover is forecast to decrease, and right now there is not much other than some barely visible cirrus clouds (28%/22%/15%/15%). That fog may not be as thick as it was this morning, hence the lower cloud cover estimate.
My Weather Stick is expressionless due to the79% relative humidity. I still need to do a photo-essay on the response of a weather stick to the relative humidity. Two of my electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts fluctuating conditions (a mix of clouds and fair skies) and falling barometric pressure. With what I can call on from the past I think we will see another nice night with plenty of starlight and moonshine. It will not be as cool as the last couple of nights, so it will be a bit more pleasant.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all of the four forecast periods today. They missed the second and third points for the relative humidity. I do not know why, and they probably do not either. They missed them, and that is all there is to it. They will just have to try again for the overnight.
