It Was A Pleasant Night!

We have had a very quiet stretch of weather. Since the first of September we have had no rain, very little wind, a bit of morning fog along the river valleys and pleasant temperatures. I will be away for the next two days, and my wife has said she will try to keep the data up while I am gone. N.O.A.A. was correct about the predominant weather for our area, we had no precipitation. From what I could tell in the dark this morning there was no cloud cover which fits their estimate of 15% for the 05:00 time period.
The N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation for today with cloud cover to match only in the 30% range (39%/36%/33%/24%). The NEXRAD regional radar shows no storm cells anywhere in the region. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that any storms will be going north of Maine today. They appear to be predicting another nice day. They do expect it to be much warmer than it has been though with temperatures in the mid-eighties.
My weather Stick is frowning again, and with 90% relative humidity I cannot blame it. My electronic instruments do not quite agree. My Weather Station forecasts fluctuating conditions with falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max thermometer forecasts foul weather with falling barometric pressure. Finally, the remote weather station is back into the cloud forecast with falling barometric pressure. It seems the only thing they can agree on is the fact that the barometric pressure will be falling today. I think we are in for another summer day with warm temperatures, and high humidity to boot. If there is any fog this morning it will probably be localized along the river valleys.

The N.W.S had the forecast temperature within five degrees of the actual temperature in Wilton, Maine for all of the four forecast periods today. They were just within the five degree limit, as the temperature fell a little faster than they predicted. They did miss the relative humidity for 02:00 and 05:00 hours, but not by very much. This was one of their better efforts at predicting the future. We will see how they do today
Forecast data for today.
