The Rain Stopped And The Sky Is Clearing!

We did have a "goodly amount" of rain today (total of 0.3 inches). By mid-afternoon it had stopped, and the sky was beginning to clear. By nightfall the storm had moved on, the sky had cleared and the temperature was falling like a rock. N.O.A.A. predicted we would continue with light scattered showers for the afternoon, but once the rain stopped, in Wilton, Maine, there were no additional showers.
For tonight, the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation for the first half and fog for the second half. If we get that fog there will not be any frost in this area. If we do not there is a good chance that the growing season will be over. The cloud cover forecast (20%/15%/9%/8%) does support a great deal of radiational cooling, so be prepared. The NEXRAD radar and Weather Underground model forecast maps show the storms at an end, and clearing taking place overnight.
My Weather Stick continues to frown a little due to the 70% relative humidity. All three of the electronic instruments indicate fair skies and rising barometric pressure for the overnight. I think I will agree with that since I cannot see anything that will conflict with that either in the sky outside or the instruments inside.
High Temperature (°F): 60.9

Relative Humidity: 83%/90%//90%/87%//67%/88%//62%/71%

N.O.A.A. had the temperature forecast correct for the first and last period. I suspect that the rain event we had did have an effect on that. With no sun there was no warming. The only relative humidity point they had correct was at 11:00 hours. I cannot make an excuse for them on that.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 54°F/47°F/44°F/42°F
Relative Humidity: 74%/74%/76%/76%
