The Fog Protected Us Overnight!

Right here in Wilton, Maine my garden was protected by a thick, heavy fog that moved in. So despite the temperature reaching 35.2°F we did not have any frost overnight. N.O.A.A. had predicted a low of 39°F, but it did outstrip that by a couple of degrees. Other than the fog there was no precipitation, and that did not accrue anything to the total for the month.
For today, the N.W.S. sees things drying out with the relative humidity dropping from 100% to a low or 33%. They also do not see any precipitation for today with a very light cloud over rising from 0% this morning to 5% this afternoon. Neither the NEXRAD regional radar nor the Weather Underground model forecast maps show any precipitation headed in our direction.
My Weather Stick is frowning again, and with 89% relative humidity I cannot blame it. That percentage combined with the low temperature makes it feel colder than it is, even without wind. All three of the electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. We seem to be in the grip of a strong high pressure system. I think this will be another day when it will be good to get outside and finish cutting, and start splitting the last load of wood. If all goes well I should be able to get this load finished by tomorrow.

N.O.A.A. had the temperature forecast correct for all but the 20:00 hour reading which was off by eight degrees. The only relative humidity reading they forecast correctly was at 02:00 hours. This was not one of their better efforts. The N.W.S. needs to work on their prognostication skills, or they need better software for their models.
Forecast data for today.
