A Good Day For Wood Processing.

It was very late when I arrived home from a meeting last night, so this is being done this morning. Although I had a short day because of the travel to my meeting I was able to finish cutting all the logs to length and get them organized for splitting. It was a great day for it as N.O.A.A. had predicted. There were virtually no clouds and the temperatures made it into the upper sixties, and that made working outside very comfortable.
For the overnight, the N.W.S. forecasts scattered fog, particularly along the rivers. When I got home we had fog at my location in Wilton, Maine. Where I could see the sky along my route it was clear with plenty of starlight. I did check the Weather Underground model forecast maps, and they were still showing no storms for us. The NEXRAD regional radar was clear as well.
My Weather Stick continues to frown due to the 86% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments forecast fair skies with high barometric pressure. Since we already have some fog at this location I will go out on a limb suggesting that we will dodge another frost bullet. There may be some areas that do get frost, but this will not be one of them. I did notice as I drove east on Route 2 toward New Sharon that some of the corn and beans appeared to have been touched by the frost on the evening of the 16th.
High Temperature (°F): 69.4
Current Temperature (°F): 40.1
Relative Humidity (%): 86%
Dew Point (°F): 36.2
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Barometric Pressure (in Hg): 30.45
Wind Direction: Calm
Wind Speed (mph): 0.0
Wind-Chill (°F): 40.1
Precipitation (Type): None
Amount (Inches): 0.00
Cloud Cover (PM): Clear
Cloud Type: None
Weather Stick: Down
Comparative data for today.
Temperature:38°F/38.3°F//58°F/55.2°F//67°F/67.1°F//65°F/68.7°F
Relative Humidity: 100%/90%//45%/66%//33%/49%//37%/45%

N.O.A.A. had the temperature forecast correct for all four of the forecast periods. They missed all four of the relative humidity points. Good on the temperature, but bad on the relative humidity. That seems to be a problem.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 49°F/41°F/38°F/35°F
Relative Humidity: 65%/85%/86%/99%
