Fog Settled In Overnight!

Driving home from my meeting last night I did not encounter any fog. The fog did not settle into Wilton, Maine until after I got home. It was certainly present when I rose this morning. So, N.O.A.A. got the predominant weather partially correct. From the temperature readings that I had we missed the bullet on frost again overnight. One of these nights we will get hit, and the growing season will come to an abrupt end.
For today, the N.W.S. forecasts another stellar day with no precipitation, temperatures warming into the mid- to upper seventies. The winds are also expected to be light and the cloud cover minimal (2%/4%/3%/3%). There seems to be a high pressure system that has settled over us, and is preventing any storms from affecting us. That will, no doubt move on eventually, as they always do. The NEXRAD regional radar shows some showers moving due west from western New York State. I do not think they will have any effect on us.
My Weather Stick continues to frown due to the high relative humidity (90%). The disagreement among the electronic instruments continues, and is becoming more pronounced. My Weather Station forecasts fair skies with rising barometri9c pressure. My Min/Max Thermometer calls for foul weather with falling barometric pressure. Finally, my remote weather station sees the barometric pressure holding steady with fair skies. According to my Weather station the barometric pressure has come down a bit. My best guess (and it is only a guess) is that this will be a pleasant day filled with those things that we must do to prepare for Winter. It is surely coming, and there is no stopping it.
