A Red Sky This Morning At Sunrise!
Overnight the N.W..S. forecast no precipitation and no cloud cover. They did get that one correct. The temperature did not fall quite as far as they predicted, but it was still quite pleasant with moderating temperatures and low humidity. It was a great night for sleeping. I do not think the red sky portends any storms in the near future.
For today, the prediction from N.O.A.A. is for continued fair skies with no precipitation and very little cloud cover (15% across the board). Further, the NEXRAD regional radar does not show any echoes from any storms at the present time. The Weather Underground model forecast maps are not forecasting any storms for today either.
My Weather Stick is smiling again over the 62% relative humidity. It makes me smile too. Two of the electronic instruments forecast fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station is a bit behind, forecasting mixed conditions with steady barometric pressure. I think we will have a pleasant day with light winds, moderate temperatures (in the low to mid-seventies) and low humidity.

The N,W.S. was within the five degree limit for the 20:00 hour forecast point. They missed the rest by a significant margin. Likewise they hit the mark at 20:00 hours for the relative humidity and missed the rest. This was not good value for our tax dollars.
