A Very Warm Evening!

The Harvest Moon Shines On!
Under the eye of the Harvest Moon we are having some of the warmest temperatures of the Summer, and here it is Autumn. There was some light ground fog in the area this morning, but I do not think it was as heavy as N.O.A.A. thought it would be. The cloud cover has continued to increase from last night. Right now the sun is shining, but there are some threats in our future.
For today, the N.W.S. has us scheduled for light scattered showers through noontime. After that they are calling for severe weather to affect Wilton, Maine and the rest of the region. I guess they are calling for severe thunderstorms with plenty of lightning. It should prove to be an interesting afternoon. The NEXRAD regional radar still shows storm cells moving slowly in our direction. At the speed I see, they will probably arrive around 15:00 hours this afternoon. This agrees with the Weather Underground model forecast maps.
My Weather Stick pointed slightly down in response to the 84% relative humidity. That number is increasing and is now up to 87% (08:20 hours). It feels even more humid than that. Two my electronic instruments forecast falling barometric pressure. Only the remote weather station forecasts something other than foul weather, and it is calling for cloudy co9nditions with steady barometric pressure. The atmosphere does not feel right. Based on my "senses" and the data I see, as well as the conditions outside I think we will get some of that forecast severe weather. We shall see!
On a personal note: The passing of Bart left a major hole in our lives. He was a great companion and a loving dog. We went on a search and found another English Setter. He is trying to replace Bart, and after a time I think he might. He is nine-and-a-half weeks old and quite intelligent. He is right now my constant companion and co-pilot.
