The relative humidity remained high and with the temperature in the low nineties it was a bit uncomfortable to be working outside. I did anyway, and now have only 10 of the 51 pieces of wood left to split. I quit before the rain started, but there was not enough of that to measure in our area of Wilton, Maine. We did not have the severe weather that was forecast by the N.W.S. There were some cells out there, just not here. I took Ike out during the storms, and he did not seem to be bothered by the thunder. If that continues I do not believe he will be gun shy like Bart was.
For the overnight N.O.A.A. predicts light rain for the first half of the period and rain after that. There is some rain showing up on the NEXRAD radar, and that may or may not affect us. Likewise, the Weather Underground model forecast maps show that any showers will be hit or miss for this area.
My weather stick is frowning this evening. 85% relative humidity will make it do that. My electronic instruments all forecast rain with falling barometric pressure. I do not know if we will get any rain to measure or not, but I suspect we will not. We may have some fog in the morning, but I do not think we will have any more rain.

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for three of the four periods today. They did miss the 14:00 hour point by 6 degrees. They missed two of the four periods for the relative humidity, getting the 08:00 hour point and 11:00 hour points incorrect.
