Cool, Foggy With Calm winds

I am finally back from Vinalhaven. I spent a couple of very pleasant days there inspecting De Valois Commandery #16 Knights Templar. Unfortunately the things I asked my wife to cover were not done, so there is a minimum of data available and no description for the afternoon of the 27th of September through yesterday evening. As a result I will no longer be able to participate in the Grand Commandery of Maine's line of officers. Anyway, enough of my complaints. It is just that I have not received the support needed to do what needs to be done.
When I first stepped out to walk Ike at around 07:00 the sky was clear, but there was some light ground fog. In an hour's time the fog thickened and the sky is now partly cloudy with some cumulus clouds. N.O.A.A. predicted no precipitation for the first half of the overnight with some fog along the river valleys for the second half. It does appear that they got that part right. I was almost convinced that we were going to have a frost here in Wilton, Maine, but, at least, on my hill it did not happen.
For today N.O.A.A. has forecast some fog early this morning, with that clearing out early, but some cloud cover during the rest of the day (39%/51%/52%/47%). There is no precipitation showing up on either the NEXRAD regional radar or the local Portland/Gray radar. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also show that we have a high pressure system in place for the next few days.
My Weather Stick continues to frown in a big way with the relative humidity at 88%. It makes me frown too, because it feels older than it really is. All three of my electronic instruments indicate fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I am not sure how much higher the pressure can go, since it is currently at 30.54. I believe that we will have a great fall day, although there will be some clouds, but lots of sunshine.
Low Temperature (°F): 34.7
Current Temperature (°F): 35.2
Relative Humidity (%): 88%
Dew Point (°F): 31.9
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Barometric Pressure (in Hg): 30.54
Wind Direction: Calm
Wind Speed (mph): 0.0
Wind-Chill (°F): N/A
Precipitation (Type): None
Amount (Inches): 0.00
Cloud Cover (AM): Partly Cloudy
Cloud Type: Cumulus
Weather Stick: Down
Comparative data for the overnight.
Temperature:49°F/51.9°F//41°F/47.4°F//37°F/40.8°F//34°F/36.5°F
Relative Humidity: 68%/65%//85%/74%//92%/83%/94%/86%

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for three of the four periods overnight. They missed the 23:00 hour point by six degrees. The only relative humidity point that was correctly forecast was at 20:00 hours. They are still missing the mark on 50% of their forecast points.
Forecast data for today.
Temperature: 37°F/55°F/63°F/61°F
Relative Humidity: 96%/49%/35%/41%

this is your blog not your wifes.
this blog must take a lot of your time and it is unfortunate that you will give up other things that might be worthwhile in your life so that you can stay home to see how dumb weather forecasters are.

thats dumb.

Yes, Jeff, this IS your blog, HOWEVER - it's a shame that you can't take a couple days off and have the support you needed to be able to continue to participate in the Grand Commandery of Mine's line of officers. Poof - just like that! We did not get the frost I expected on this hill either.
