A New Month A New Start-Overcast
Overnight the N.W.S. forecast no precipitation for the first half of the period and fog for the second half. We had no precipitation, but we had no fog either. When I first stepped out at 05:30 the sky was overcast, but now 08:00 hours it is mostly cloudy, and the sun appears to be coming out. It was apparently a pleasant night with moderate temperatures.
For today N.O.A.A. is calling for no precipitation and decreasing cloud cover (64%/46%/27%/28%). There is a small line of showers showing on the NEXRAD radar in northern Maine. I do not believe they will affect us here. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that we will not see any precipitation until sometime Wednesday.
My Weather Stick is frowning (guess why?). With 88% relative humidity I am frowning too. All three of my electronic instruments call for fair skies today. The remote weather station is the only one that calls for steady barometric pressure, while the other two call for the pressure to rise still further. Once the clouds clear out I think we will have a great day.

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for the first half of the overnight. I suspect that the cloud cover moved in faster to Wilton, Maine than they expected. This held the temperature at a higher level. I cannot divine an excuse for them to have missed all four of the relative humidity forecast points.
Forecast data for today.
