And The Clouds Kept Coming All Day.

The sun started to come out while I was writing this morning's report, but it never quite made it. There was no precipitation, as the N.W.S predicted, but the cloud cover never did make the 27 or 28% level. Except for doing my chores and taking Ike for the obligatory walks, I spent the bulk of the day working with a friend of mine to make some Stout. If it comes out as it should it will be very good. Time will tell with that.
The N.W.S. predicts that we will, again, have no precipitation overnight, but the cloud cover will be on the increase (57%/65%/73%/64%). This should, once again, prevent the formation of any frost in the gardens. It seems we escaped the Harvest Moon frost in this area of Wilton, Maine. The NEXRAD regional radar indicate a line of storms just entering Western New York state, and the Weather Underground model forecast maps still do not show any precipitation for our area until at least Wednesday.
My Weather Stick is frowning at the 84% relative humidity. Two of my electronic instruments call for falling barometric pressure with mixed conditions of fair and cloudy skies. The remote weather station calls for continued fair skies with rising barometric pressure. I tend to think that we are headed for some unsettled weather, but still no precipitation.

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for the second and fourth periods. They missed all four of the relative humidity predictions. This was definitely not one of their best outings. They need to be like the car rental company and try harder.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 60°F/55°F/52°F/50°F
Relative Humidity: 72%/81%/79%/92%
