The Rain Finally Stopped!

We had over an inch of rain in the last 24 hours taking us from 0.42 inches up to 1.81 inches. Now that it has stopped the wind appears to have kicked in, and is beginning to send the clouds scudding away from us. Looking straight up I was able to see some stars, and patches of clear sky above my house. It is still mostly cloudy, but it is improving. It does seem that N.O.A.A. got the predominant weather and cloud cover correct for today.
For the overnight the N.W.S. sees a period of light scattered showers to start the evening, with the chance of precipitation decreasing to zero by 23:00 hours and remaining so until morning. The NEXRAD radar shows the showers almost completely gone from this area of Wilton, Maine. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate the chance for precipitation tonight into tomorrow. The rain clearing out, and then a chance for more rain on Sunday afternoon.
My Weather Stick continues to frown, and I still think it has forgotten how to smile. The relative humidity is now 85%, and it was 86% when I started this less than half an hour ago. My electronic instruments are back to disagreeing. My Weather Station forecasts partly cloudy skies with rising barometric pressure. My Min/Max Thermometer sees fair skies with rising barometric pressure. Finally, my remote weather station indicates that rain will continue, but the barometric pressure will be on the rise. They all agreed that the barometric pressure will rise. Usually that will usher in some fair weather with lower humidity. I think that we can expect to see the skies start to clear, and the atmosphere begin to dry out as we get closer to tomorrow morning. I think also that tomorrow will be a very nice day, although it may be a bit blustery with a fair bit of wind and lower humidity.
High Temperature (°F): 52.8
Current Temperature (°F): 46.2
Relative Humidity (%): 86%

Barometric Pressure (in Hg): 29.57
Wind Direction: South Southwest
Wind Speed (mph): 4.4
Wind-Chill (°F): 44.0
Precipitation (Type): Rain
Amount (Inches): 0.88
Cloud Cover (PM): Mostly Cloudy
Cloud Type: Cumulus
Weather Stick: Down
Comparative data for today.
Temperature:49°F/50.9°F//55°F/51.6°F//57°F/52.8°F//56°F/52.1°F
Relative Humidity: 98%/93%//76%/93%//64%/93%//65%/91%

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for all four of the periods today. The humidity was significantly higher after the 08:00 period than they predicted. They must have expected the storm system to move out much more quickly than it did. So much for their ability to prognosticate the relative humidity.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 47°F/42°F/39°F/37°F
Relative Humidity: 93%/96%/96%/96%
