We Had Some Rain, But No Frost Overnight!
Overnight we had some rain, but my system shut down around 23:15 (right after I finished my report). My analog rain gauge shows 2.50 inches of rain since the start of October. I think I missed one other storm as well. I will include the 0.69 inches of rain parenthetically for the rest of the month. Just so you know, this is not the result of Wildblue, but the provision of power by Central Maine Power Co. I was off line from 23:23 until 01:30. I am glad this was not during the winter because it would have gotten quite cold in the house in that length of time. "Just flip a switch and we are there." I have switches flipped all the time, and sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not. They are only slightly more reliable than Verizon. If I could go totally off the grid at reasonable cost I would in a heartbeat. I would love to be able to sell power back to them instead of the other way around.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts light scattered showers all day with cloud cover of 72%, 77%, 70%/ and63%. That is enough cloud cover to support showers. The NEXRAD radar is showing some showers moving off to our east rapidly. The Weather Underground model forecast maps indicate that the rest of today should be precipitation free for our area in Wilton, Maine.
My Weather Stick is back to frowning, and I am frowning at the 86% relative humidity too. My Electronic Weather Station is calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure as is the Min/Max Thermometer. The remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with steady barometric pressure. I guess I blew it last night when I called for clearing skies. I guess I am entitled to be as wrong as the professionals, since I am but a practiced amateur. For today it seems to be cloudy with a threat of showers, but that could change in a heartbeat. We must remember this is New England, and the weather can change at a moment's notice.

The N.W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for all four of the recording periods. That was good. The only point they forecast correctly with the relative humidity was at 02:00 hours. That was not good on their part. The relative humidity has again gotten away from them.
