The temperature never got to the middle fifties today. I did not go outside to work on the wood because I had too much paperwork to do to get ready for my battle with the tax assessor in Wilton. Their estimate of the worth of my property and the fact that I am a working farm has my property taxes up by over 16%. That is wrong. This is not Wilton, Connecticut, and the valuation they have come up with would fit there, not here. I have no "view" other than the "Beans of Egypt Maine" and the woods around us. I am almost ready to put it no the market and move if I cannot get any satisfaction. This whole tax valuation is wrong. There are people who have "views" of the lake and waterfront property that have had no increase, and farmers like me that are being raped.
Oh well, back to the weather. We had no precipitation and a fair bit of wind during the day today. There were some cumulus clouds, and they are still hanging around. Depending on the wind and the cloud cover we may lose gardens tonight. Be advised. For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts light mixed precipitation all night. MIXED PRECIPITAITON, with the temperature not falling below 38. This should be an interesting ride. The NEXRAD radar does not show much in the way of precipitation, either regionally or locally. As I noted there are quite a few cumulus clouds hanging around so the cloud cover prediction may be right (59%/56%/52%/52%).
My Weather Stick is only frowning a little right now. All three of the electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair skies, while the remote weather station forecasts a mix of fair and cloudy skies. Here again, I feel that we will still see some unsettled weather as a result of all the clouds out there. The temperature is going to get close to the freezing mark, but I am not sure it will make it.

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for all four of the recording periods. That was good. They did not have one of the points of relative humidity forecast correctly. That was not good on their part. The relative humidity has again gotten away from them.
