A Fine Day Despite The Clouds Moving In!
We started out with a few clouds to the west at sunrise, and tonight there is a much more general overcast. It is mostly cloudy, and still possible to see the moon through the clouds. It is dry too without any wind. During the day today the temperature in Wilton, Maine reached into the middle eighties, and that is incredible for the third week in October. I think we just need to accept it and be thankful we are not required to get our snow blowers out to move the precipitation around. That will be here soon enough.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecast no precipitation for the first half and fog for the second half. The NEXRAD radar shows some moderate to heavy rain to our south and west that appears to be moving in our direction. That is the same storm system the Weather Underground model forecast maps have been tracking for the last four days.
My Weather Stick is smiling tonight, and with only 69% relative humidity so am I. My electronic instruments are at this moment confused. My weather Station forecasts fair skies and rising barometric pressure. My Min/Max Thermometer forecasts falling barometric pressure with partly cloudy skies. My remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions with falling barometric pressure. At least that last is not saying steady pressure. I think the weather will deteriorate overnight, and we will have another wild ride tomorrow afternoon and evening.

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature correctly for all but the 14:00 hour point. They missed the first two relative humidity points, but correctly forecast the 14:00 and 17:00 hour points. Once again their ability to forecast these two parameters is in some doubt.
