N.O.A.A. suggested that we would have light scattered showers all day. Here in Wilton, Maine we did not have any rain at all. There was a brief period of sunshine this morning, but clouds have been the predominant feature for the rest of the day. So, while they had the predominant weather incorrect they did have the cloud cover fairly close.
For the overnight there is fog forecast early, then a period of clear weather, and then finishing out the overnight with more fog. The NEXRAD regional radar does show showers moving along the front as was suggested this morning. The forecast of cloud cover (58%/53%/63%/55%) that may protect us from frost this evening, but that remains to be seen. Those showers are not affecting us, but are staying on the coast or just off shower. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show the same situation at that site.
My Weather Stick is smiling just a little as a result of the 73% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments forecast rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair weather, while the remote weather station forecasts partly cloudy or unsettled conditions. As I see the weather outside there are plenty of clouds, and they are blotting out the moon, so they may provide a blanket over us for this evening. I will suggest that we will not have any rain, but cloudy skies will predominate.
