The frontal system is still affecting our area. The rain is hugging the coast, although we have had no precipitation here in Wilton, Maine. With the cloud cover overnight the temperature did not get close to the low thirties that were predicted. There was little or no wind overnight either.
For today N.O.A.A. forecasts no precipitation, and the cloud cover forecast (47%/35%/23%/17%) suggests that to be the case. The NEXRAD regional radar shows the frontal boundary quite clearly, with the rain moving along it. It seems to be just off the coast, and is keeping the rain out of our area. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also indicate that the front will remain offshore and slowly move away taking the rain with it. This should give us nice weather later today and tomorrow. They also show another set of storms moving in Saturday evening, lasting until late Sunday morning.
My Weather Stick is frowning just a little at the 83% relative humidity. All of my electronic instruments indicate rising barometric pressure. Two of them forecast fair skies today based on the amount the barometric pressure has already risen. The remote weather station forecasts mixed or partly cloudy conditions. I suspect that the clouds will slowly move out of the area leaving us with a very nice afternoon and evening. It will remain seasonably cool for today, and it may get quite cold overnight.

The N,W.S. correctly forecast the temperature for all but the 05:00 hour period. They had the relative humidity correct for the 20:00 hour and 02:00 hour points overnight. This is better than they have been doing, but it is still not good.
