Frosty, But No Snow Here!
N.O.A.A. did suggest that there might be some light scattered snow showers over Wilton, Maine overnight. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also suggested the same thing. We did not have any in this area of Wilton. Just as with light scattered rain showers during the summer it all depends on your location what you get. When I stepped outside this morning at about 05:30 hours the sky was clear, the stars were out and the moon was shining brightly. There was some wind, but it was light, and even the frost on the vehicles did not need to be scraped from the windshield. This did not appear to be a bad night.
For today the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation with the cloud cover decreasing a bit until late this afternoon (45%/34%/23%/30%). The NEXRAD regional radar shows the last of the, now, rain showers moving out of far eastern Maine. The Weather Underground model forecast maps also indicate that there are no further showers, snow or rain, expected to impinge on our area for today.
My Weather Stick is expressionless. I would have expected it to point down a little with 80% relative humidity, but I can only report what I see. All three of my electronic instruments are forecasting falling barometric pressure. There forecasts for the type of weather though are quite different. My Weather Station forecasts unsettled weather. My Min/Max Thermometer forecasts foul weather. Finally, my remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions for today. Based on what I see I suspect that we will see any clouds that may show up, dissipate over the day, and all things considered it will be a bright day, although a bit cool.

The N,W.S. forecast the temperature within five degrees at three of the four points overnight. They did miss the 20:00 hour point. They did not do nearly as well with the relative humidity. The only forecast point they had correct was at 23:00 hours. I think the temperature forecasts were correct only because once the temperature reached 20 degrees it did not change very much. That was probably because there was some cloud cover until shortly before 05:00 hours.
