It Warmed Up Nicely Today!!
Today was another one of those days that we can look back on in January and revel in its beauty. There was no precipitation, a bit of cloud cover and some wind to keep the black flies away. Oh, that is right there are no black flies right now. This is one that N.O.A.A. got right for the predominant weather forecast.
For the overnight, the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation, but the cloud cover is expected to increase (49%/42%/52%/67%). The NEXRAD radar is not showing any precipitation in the area of Wilton, Maine, although there is some precipitation on the western side of Lake Erie, in Canada. The Weather Underground model forecast maps currently show no precipitation overnight, but there is a chance forecast for tomorrow afternoon and evening. We shall see.
My Weather Stick is frowning just a little. The relative humidity is obviously the cause. Two of my electronic weather instruments forecast foul weather with falling barometric pressure. My remote weather station forecasts clouds with falling barometric pressure. I think we will have cloudy conditions by morning, but no precipitation. I do not see the temperature going below freezing tonight, but I drained my hose anyway, just to be on the safe side.

The N.W.S. had all four periods correct for the temperature. They had the 08:00 and 17:00 hour relative humidity forecasts correct.
They only missed two points, and for them, that is pretty good.
