The Cirrostratus Clouds Are Back!
There was no precipitation overnight, so N.O.A.A. got that part of the forecast right. They are predicting some light scattered rain showers just a little north of our location in Wilton, Maine. The cloud cover has increased from clear last night to mostly cloudy his morning. It is quite cool this morning, and was so when I stepped outside with Ike this earlier. I am still seeing some haze or ground fog to my west, possibly over Pease Pond.
The N.W.S. forecasts continued dry weather for today with very little change in the cloud cover (30%/34%/39%/60%) until late this afternoon. This is in keeping with the Weather Underground model forecast maps prediction that we will see precipitation start sometime overnight and continue through most of the day tomorrow. The NEXRAD regional radar currently is not showing any echoes (other than some ground clutter ) over the entire region.
My Weather Stick is still frowning a little as a result of the 84% relative humidity. My Weather Station had a low temperature of 24.4°F overnight, and is currently calling for partly cloudy skies with rising barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer had a low temperature of 26.8°F and is also forecasting rising barometric pressure with partly cloudy skies. My remote weather station went off line again, so I do not have a low temperature in the barn, but it is calling for foul weather with steady barometric pressure. I really do not believe that last one, but I do suspect that we will see partly cloudy skies for most of the day. I also suspect that overnight, and into tomorrow we will see some foul weather. The system on the Weather Underground forecast map is just a little too big to miss us.

The N.W.S. correctly forecast the temperature for all four of the points during the night. They started well with the relative humidity getting the first two correct. Then they missed the last two by a wide margin. Maybe because I sit on top of a hill my readings are quite different from theirs.
