The Wind Has Ushered In The Cold Air!

We did have some light snow this morning, and then we had several more snow showers during the day. There was no real accumulation from these showers, just a trace. I would have to say that the N.O.A.A. forecast missed the mark by a bit. The temperature did break the freezing mark, but our cold temperatures currently totally eclipse the low temperatures from this morning.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation and the cloud cover dissipating (40%/38%/35%/28%). Right now (00:00 hours) the sky is clear and there are no clouds to be seen. I think the temperature is going to fall a lot farther and a lot faster than the N.W.S. said it would. I took a look ahead at tomorrow's predominant weather forecast, and they are predicting that we will have snow showers at the very least starting around 13:00 hours. There is nothing on the NEXRAD regional radar for storms. The Weather Underground model forecast maps suggest we will have some precipitation late tomorrow night into Friday.
My Weather Stick is smiling for a change, and the relative humidity at 58% gives it good reason to. All three of my electronic instruments indicate clear skies with rising barometric pressure. The high temperatures for the La Crosse Weather Station, Min/Max Thermometer and remote weather station were 39.9°F, 40.1°F and 34.0°F respectively. The new lows were 15.9°F, 16.2°F and 23.0°F respectively as well. I do not think we will see these temperatures again for a long while. We may see a little bit of snow overnight tomorrow, but tonight I expect to be very clear with the temperatures easily reaching the single numbers, and maybe going below zero for the first time this season. Winter is upon us despite the fact that the Winter Solstice is more than a week away.
Low Temperature (°F): 15.9
High Temperature (°F): 39.9
Current Temperature (°F): 15.9
Relative Humidity : 58%
Dew Point (°F): 3.6
Heat Index (°F): N/A
Barometric Pressure (in Hg): 30.19
Wind Direction: North Northeast
Wind Speed (mph): 2.2
Wind-Chill (°F): 15.9
Precipitation (Type): Snow
Amount (Inches): Trace
Cloud Cover (PM): Clear
Cloud Type: None
Weather Stick: Up
Comparative data for today.
Temperature:28°F/27.5°F//32°F/36.6°F//35°F/35.6°F//33°F/28.4°F
Relative Humidity: 63%/88%//69%/79%//56%/56%//51%/55%

The N.W.S forecasts for the temperature was within 5°F of the recorded temperatures at all four forecast times. The only point where they were more than 10% off from the recorded relative humidity was at 07:00 hours. Once again they did a pretty good job of forecasting these parameters.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 24°F/18°F/14°F/12°F
Relative Humidity: 63%/69%/66%/64%
