When I Blow It I Do A Good Job!

The snow came sweeping in this afternoon at about 16:00 hours. That was about six hours sooner than I expected it, and a little later than N.O.A.A. did. When it did arrive it was quite a bit heavier than I thought it would be. In less than 90 minutes the road was covered, and we had about 2 inches on the ground on top of what was already there. At 23:00 hours we have about 4 inches of new show, and it is still snowing lightly. The temperature never did make it into the twenties as the weather service predicted.
For the overnight the N.W.S. foresees continued snow tapering to light snow after 22:00 hours, and the light scattered snow showers continuing for the rest of the night. There should be plenty of cloud cover to support that prediction (100%/100%/100%/99%). The NEXRAD regional radar suggests that we will have a bit more snow before this mess gets out to sea. The Weather Underground model forecast maps have changed their prediction as well. We will have some more scattered snow showers during the overnight, and the Sunday storm seems to be winding up to give us a good coating of fresh snow.
My Weather Stick is frowning, no other comment necessary. The La Crosse Weather Station forecasts foul weather. The other two electronic instruments forecast mixed conditions, and all three suggest that the barometric pressure will continue to fall. High temperatures recorded by the three instruments were 15.9°Fby the La Crosse Station, 25.4°F by the Min/Max Thermometer and 21.7 in the barn. As I noted above the snow started about 4 hours sooner than I expected it, and at 23:00 hours we are still overcast with snow falling. We have picked up about 4-4.5 inches of new snow. I think this will continue into tomorrow morning. Sunday remains a question mark.

The N.W.S forecasts for the temperature was within 5°F of the recorded temperatures at all four forecast times today. They missed the relative humidity during the middle of the day by more than 10%. They must have slipped on the snow overnight, missing those parameters.
Forecast data for the overnight.
