The Light Snow Is Beginning To Gang Up On Us!
It is now 08:00 and still snowing. N.O.A.A. appears to have gotten the predominant forecast correct for the overnight. We are still having light scattered snow showers. Traffic seems to be moving slower than usual on Route 133 in Wilton, Maine. The plow has been through, but the road is still not in the best shape. According to my Snow Gauge we have had about 6 inches of snow since yesterday afternoon. That is quite a bit more than was forecast.
The N.W.S. suggests that we will continue with the light scattered snow showers all day today. That seems to be happening. There is very little showing up on the NEXRAD regional radar at the present time. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show the bulk of the storm out to sea, and the weather calming down for today and tomorrow. Currently they are forecasting a significant storm for Maine (and New England) for Sunday afternoon right into Monday.
My Weather Stick is frowning. I am not quite sure if it is frowning at the continued snow or the 81% relative humidity, but it is frowning nonetheless. My electronic instruments agree that the barometric pressure has not finished falling. Two of them forecast foul conditions while the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions. The low temperatures recorded were 10.0°F, 11.2°F* and 15.1°F, The reason for the asterisk on the Min/Max Thermometer's temperature was that it went off line at some point overnight, and that was the low temperature that I was able to capture. I do not think we will see a great deal more accumulation today, but, unless something changes dramatically, watch out for Sunday.

The N.W.S forecasts for the temperature was within 5°F of the recorded temperatures at all four forecast times overnight. The only relative humidity point that was missed was at 19:00 hours. Once again they did a pretty good job of forecasting these parameters. They only missed one out of the eight forecasts.
Forecast data for today.
