Another Night Outside The Deep Freeze!

For the overnight N.O.A.A. forecast no precipitation with the cloud cover decreasing, and they had that right. The temperature is already climbing out of the thirties and into the forties. This is proving to be another one in quite a string of nice days. It is certainly wrecking havoc on the snowpack. That is not altogether bad since there are forecasts of some more of the white stuff out there.
So far for today the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation for today. The cloud cover is expected to decrease a bit this morning, and then increase this afternoon in preparation for the storm tomorrow (09%/05%/15%/33%). There is nothing showing up on the NEXRAD composite regional radar. There is a difference between the N.W.S. forecast and the Weather Underground model forecast maps. The N.W.S. expects the storm to start early tomorrow morning, while the Weather Underground model forecast maps say it will not start until around 15:00 hours.
My Weather Stick is responding to the 55% relative humidity by smiling just a little. All three of the electronic instruments are calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure, and it certainly looks nice outside. Right now the temperature is above 42°F making it very pleasant. Overnight I think that will change as the storm gets closer. Even now I can see clouds beginning to gather in the west. The other thing I noted from the Weather Underground maps is that there will be a joining of a Nor'easter and Great Lakes Storm. If that does happen, and depending on where it happens, this could be one of the major snow events of the season. Obviously we will need to wait and see what happens with this one. Be prepared.

The N.W.S. had both the temperature and relative humidity forecasts correct for the overnight. That was an excellent job.
