This Has Been An Unbelievable String Of Nice Days!

For today N.O.A.A. predicted no precipitation and they had that one right. The also predicted very little cloud cover, and they had that right too, but there were some clouds moving in late this afternoon. It did get back up into the forties this afternoon, and that made this a very pleasant day.
For the overnight the N.W.S. forecasts no precipitation through 01:00 hours, but by04:00 they are calling for us to be in for some light scattered snow showers. The expected storm is on the NEXRAD composite regional radar map. It has not reached New England yet, but it certainly looks like it is coming. The cloud cover forecast seems to support a storm on the way (44%.72%/100%/100%). I have again checked the Weather Underground model forecast maps, and things there seem to have changed a bit. They are now calling for the storm to start here, in Wilton, Maine, around noon and last through around 06:00 Tuesday. It seems that the models have been in a continuous state of flux with this storm It should be interesting to see what we really do get out of this one. There are prognosticators that are calling for 8 to 12 inches of
fresh powder out of this one.
My Weather Stick is smiling because of the 46% relative humidity. That is the lowest I have seen in the late afternoon in quite a while. Two of my electronic instruments are calling for fair skies with rising barometric pressure. The remote weather station forecasts unsettled weather with steady barometric pressure. These instruments recorded high temperatures of 42.6°F, 36.5°F and 36.7°F. I think unsettled will be an understatement. By morning I think the snow will have started and throughout the day we will see significant accumulations here. I certainly do not want to be on the road tomorrow morning.

The N.W.S. Had the 13:00 hour forecast point incorrect for the temperature. They did better with the relative humidity
getting all four forecasts correct. Again, not a bad job.
Forecast data for the overnight.
Temperature: 31°F/28°F/25°F/23°F.
