And This One Is Finally Over!
N.O.A.A. called for light scattered snow showers for all but the first period starting at 19:00 hours last night when it was still snowing. We probably had about a half inch more snow during that time. Since this was very fluffy snow it settled quite quickly, or was blown around quite a bit. Last night my snow gauge showed 10" of snow and this morning only 9". The road still does not look like it is in the best shape for travel. Therefore, do be careful if you need to travel in the area of Wilton, Maine.
For today the N.W.S. predicts light scattered snow showers all day and the cloud cover forecast is 97%, 92%, 87% and 91% which would support some more precipitation today. The NEXRAD composite regional radar shows the last remnants of this storm moving into the Canadian Maritime provinces. The Weather Underground model forecast maps show the clouds lingering here until sometime this afternoon.
My Weather Stick continues to frown at the 83% relative humidity. All three of my electronic instruments forecast foul weather with falling barometric pressure. That indicates that the entire system has not yet moved out of our area. We did have low temperatures of 15.2°F, 18.0°F and 23.2°F recorded by those electronic instruments. They are all in very different places, and I would expect them to show some differences. I would expect the last one to be the most different since it is inside the barn. I personally do not think that there will be any further snow today, but that expectation does not extend to Friday when they are predicting another one just like this last one. It seems we are back in a pattern like we were in December and the first part of January.

The N.W.S. had all four of the temperature forecasts and relative humidity forecasts correct overnight. I can say no more than Great Job to the people at the N.W.S.
